At Watchtower Community Church, we believe in the Holy Trinity, the divinity of Jesus Christ, and the authority of the Bible. We affirm our belief in the one-eternal God, Creator, and Lord of the world, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who governs all things according to the purpose of his will. We also believe in the power of prayer and the importance of living out our faith in our daily lives.

Pastor Thomas B. Gafford Jr. is a man after God’s own heart who truly loves the Lord. His humble beginnings began at an early age in Hampton, Virginia. His family later moved to Greensboro, North Carolina, where he met and married his wife, Lady Chrystall Hoper-Gafford. Together they have six wonderful children. In June of 2017, the Lord led him and his family to move to Atlanta, GA to join and serve at Breakthrough Worship Center of Hope. Despite not knowing where the path would take their family, he trusted God’s will for his life and moved. While faithfully serving at Breakthrough Worship Center of Hope, under Pastor Dwight and Co-Pastor DeAnna Hurt, he was ordained as a minister of the Gospel December of 2018.
Pastor Thomas founded ‘Men Redeemed’ in May of 2019, an organization geared toward helping and uplifting men who share in similar experiences of his past with struggles such as addictions, experienced sexual abuse, and with strongholds. Men Redeemed provides the tools needed to help these men break free from the chains of bondage over their lives through the Word of God.
December of 2019, Thomas Gafford Jr was ordained and installed as Senior Pastor of Breakthrough Worship Center of Hope.
Through the great leadership and guidance of Pastors Dwight and DeAnna Hurt and Bishop Myron Dawson, Pastor Gafford was led by God to start his own ministry. In January of 2023 Pastor Thomas Gafford Jr answered his call and founded Watchtower Community Church. Watchtower Community Church’s goal is to become a beacon in the community. The vision of Watchtower Community Church is to go beyond the four walls of the sanctuary, spreading love, truth, giving hope, and winning people to Christ. Pastor Gafford believes that spiritual growth occurs by the development of a Kingdom mindset.
